- Review every mock test in detail to fix concepts
- Use your strongest subject as confidence while you work harder on the others
- Take short breaks when a problem refuses to open up
- Lean on the basics: NCERT first, then selected problems from standard books
Sakshyam Jindal, who stood second in the common rank list, grew up in Hisar and spent two years in Kota. He gave extra time to Physics and Chemistry and let his comfort with Mathematics carry him.
His key advice is to analyse mock tests regularly, because it improves concepts and keeps exam anxiety in check. A test that is only attempted and not reviewed teaches very little.
The rank-1 topper of the same year described a similar approach: NCERT as the base, selected questions from books such as HC Verma and Irodov, finishing assigned modules on time, and stepping away for a short break when a problem gets stuck.
